My name is Thumper and I'm a handsome Seal Point guy. I'm a real sweetie. I like to sit next to people and get head, ear and back rubs. To show my appreciation I just purr and purr. I don't react to sound, so I may be hard of hearing or deaf but that doens't bother me - I just hang out and ask for lovin'!
Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with asthma, so now I take medication for this once a day - its the same as what humans use (albuterol). My foster mom uses an Aerokat to give it to me. She took a couple of weeks to get me used to this, and now my foster mom and I have settled into a routine that works pretty well she sits beside me and puts the nose piece over my nose and I breathe while she rubs my ears, and when I done, she gives me treats! Every once in a while, Im a little cranky and hold my breath for a little while, but eventually Ill take the med because theres always a treat at the end of it.
We dont have a video of me taking the med, but if you want to see how its done, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INF1W8uaPEA (or any of the other videos of this there are several).
I'm all ready to go, won't you take me home?
