Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Cissy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Cissy's Story...
Cissy is a pampered pooch! She likes to follow her foster mom around everywhere
and prefers to be carried. This 7lb. sweet girl likes to be close to her person
and prefers not to be crated- but would probably be ok with it given time. She is house trained and good with other
dogs.

She was rescued from the SPCA and is about 4yrs old. She does well with other dogs.

Although she does well with kids, she does not need to go to a home with small children (who could potentially drop or unwittingly injure her).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cissy, a New Milford Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
