Dexter's Story...
My name is Dexter….and I am a really nice fellar!

I was wandering about one day, and out of the blue a real meany passed my way. I sustained bites to my neck, ear and face, so they toted me of to heal at this shelter place. From there I landed in my foster pad so now I am looking for my own forever place where I can lay my head.

My foster mom and dad say I have very good manners. I tinkle outside, and not inside, because I know that matters. I have a really cute face, and I am as handsome as can be; my fur is soft, and my ears, my or my, wait till you see!

I eat really great, all you have to do is put it on my plate. I play even better; soft toys, ropes, nylabones, it doesn’t matter! I will nudge you (often) when you need to love me, or lay at your side to keep you company.

Also, I love to be brushed, because a good appearance is a must. I will stay in my crate, but must admit, it’s not my favorite place. I will whine for a while when you put me there, and show you a sad face; but, I settle down, until back to me you race!

I am not a fan of cats, but a doggy brother and\or sister, I don’t mind; and kids of any age, they can stay since they are fine! There are few things that make me bark - like the postman, passers-by and those things with bushy tails that romp in the yard.

I’d love to meet you, if you’d like to meet me too! There are only a few things I require, but the most important one is that it’s me you admire.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a White Settlement German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in White Settlement, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in White Settlement.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in White Settlement already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a White Settlement breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in White Settlement paves the way for another one to be saved.
