Update 03/05/07. Red received his heartworm treatment on 02/19/07 and is doing very well so far. He will be MUCH happier when he can run and play with the other dogs. This boy is very affectionate and just wants to hang out with people and get lots of attention. Red is just a great dog all around and he is gorgeous, too!

Special Needs Dog. 02/01/07 Red is a real sweetheart of a dog who has tested positive for heartworm. He is a stunning red male husky with blue eyes, approximately 2 years old. Once Red has been treated for heartworm, he will be available for adoption. If you can find it in your heart to make a contribution for his heartworm treatment, please click the link below. Heartworm treatment is expensive and also painful for a dog to go through so PLEASE make sure all your dogs are tested annually for heartworm and kept on monthly heartworm preventative!!!
