Curly Sue (Suzy)'s Story...
Curly Sue, or Suzy as she is generally known, is approximately 8-10 months old and is a mix of unknown breeds. She has the coat like a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, but is the color of a Heeler or Pointer, but has the face of a hound, and the curly tail of a Husky! So she is truly a purebred MUTT :) Suzy is a very happy, friendly girl. She loves to play with other dogs of all kinds and she is great with people and children. She really just wants attention and love. Oh, and PLAY! Suzy loves to play! She is just a pup, so she is still learning her manners and basic commands, but she loves food and is willing to work for it. She is just getting used to being in a crate, but she only complains for a few minutes and then settles down; and she'll only get better once she gets used to it. She is good girl who is looking for a family to call her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Curly Sue (Suzy), a Saskatoon Pointer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Pointer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
