My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MR. BLUE BOY
4 Year Old Male Blue Abyssinian

Mr. Blue Boy came into rescue when his owner died. He came to his foster home in deep grief. The first week he laid in his cage and picked at his food and didn't care to be petted. But over several weeks he got his appetite back and got up when his foster mom came to his cage door to talk to her and be petted. He was then moved to his foster mom's bedroom. Blue has now changed so much. He sleeps with his foster mom, next to her under the covers. He follows her around the room and of course typical of an Abyssinian has to help her put on her make up, brush her teeth and pick out her clothes for the day. He talks to her while she is in the shower and sits on her while she reads at night. But someone meeting Blue for the first time will not see this wonderful, loving boy. In a new environment it will take awhile for Blue to come around and feel comfortable with “his person”, but by putting in the time by being patient, you will be rewarded with a wonderful, loving companion for years to come.

Please know the Abyssinian breed which can be read about at http://cats.about.com/cs/breedprofiles/p/abyssinian.htm. Mr. Blue Boy needs to be a single cat. Even though he came from a house with 9 other cats, he hid out most of the time and was not happy. When introduced to cats in his foster home he does the same thing. When in the room by himself he is out all the time and is an interactive member of his foster home.

Mr. Blue Boy will come to you healthy, altered, FELV/FIV negative, current on vaccinations and microchipped. He is fostered in Pleasanton.

For more information regarding Mr. Blue Boy, contact his foster mom, Karen.
