I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Duke's Story...
Duke came into foster care as an overweight owner surrender. Duke is 5-6 years old and a real handsome guy with a great personality. Duke is currently 87 pounds and working on his weight loss in South Florida running around with his 5 other companions. He is housebroken and has perfect house manners. He will ask to go out and ask to come back in. He is fine in the car, settling down for a snooze till you arrive at your destination. Duke also keeps 4 feet on the floor with the exception of putting a paw on your lap as he gazes at you with those beautiful amber eyes. Duke is up to date on all his shots and on heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Dallas Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
