Amber's Story...
Amber is a Lab mix female born on 12/29/2007. She has the build and attitude of a Lab and the most beautiful brindle markings in her coat that seem to become more distinct as she gets older. Amber is a very striking little lady! She's a lively and curious little girl who absolutely loves to play. Her favorite pasttimes include following the family cat around the house and playing with other dogs and puppies. Amber definitely holds her own when wrestling with her two big foster brothers. She is 100% paper trained and is learning proper potty training outdoors. Although she's very energetic, Amber loves to snuggle in your lap or on a warm blanket at your feet. She does well in a crate and sleeps through the night in a pen by herself. This very smart girl will make a great family member!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Erin or Matt at 913.884.2949 or erinhill03@hotmail.com to find out when and where you can meet AMBER!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amber, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
