Winnie's Story...
Winnie is a beautiful girl. She at two years old she is out of her puppy phase just enjoying life with whatever it brings. She is very mellow and greatly enjoys being by someone's side. Winne adores children! She plays very gently and tries to take care of them the best she can. Winnie is very well socialized. She greatly enjoys being in the company of other dogs. Winnie must have lived in a home before we found her in a shelter. She is very comfortable with stairs and knows her way to the backdoor to be let out.

Winnie does know some basic commands such as sit and paw. She would benefit from some more obedience training.

Winnie is looking for a forever home or a foster home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Manhasset German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Manhasset, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Manhasset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhasset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhasset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhasset paves the way for another one to be saved.
