Daisy Mae is a 14 year old Bay Mare that stands approx. 16 hands. She was broke to ride, but hasn't been ridden in 10 years. She will need a refresher course to remind her how to behave. She always first at the gate and wants to be loved on. She is a sweetie. Very laid back, stands well, leads well. She will need an experienced handler to work with her. She loves attention and would be a great pleasure horse. She is a retired Thoroughbred looking for a new, relaxing life. Adoption fee ranges, but does not exceed $250.00. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy Mae, a Lexington Thoroughbred was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Thoroughbred for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Thoroughbred from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Thoroughbred breeders who help with Thoroughbred rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
