Willow's Story...
The name Willow means "ability to bend with strong force instead of breaking." That definitely describes this lovely girl. She's a 7 year old mare that just bends with the changes in life. She is broke to ride, full of energy and has a strong build. She would be best with an experienced horse person to take her on pleasure rides or trail rides. With her size and strenght she would ride all day for you. She a specail girl that wants to please for sure. She is a retired Thoroughbred looking for a new, relaxing life. Adoption fee ranges, but does not exceed $500.00. For more information please email Anita at anitasheba@yahoo.com or call her at 859-621-1472. . Horse is located in Lexington, KY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Lexington Thoroughbred was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Thoroughbred for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Thoroughbred from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Thoroughbred breeders who help with Thoroughbred rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
