My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We need vet donations for Princess Buttercup's vet care. Buttercup was savagely attacked by a dog and has had to have major veterinarian care. She has a massive hole in her chest, which only now--nearly a month later--is starting to heal, she has wounds on her back and neck, she has double holes in one leg.

Her veterinarian care has cost over $300 and is ongoing. If you would like to help our Buttercup, please make a donation in her name to Ennis Veterinarian Clinic under Merlin's Hope Cat Rescue, 3130 N. Kaufmann Street, Ennis, TX, 75119 or 972-875-2647.

Buttercup's recovery is such that she will not be ready to go home until sometime around Christmas.

She is a lovely Blue Cream Point Ragdoll girl, about 5 years old, very sweet, and patient (especially with all her medical care). She MUST go to a home where she can sleep with her adopter as she insists on sleeping in the bed with you. She is not a lap cat, but she is extremely affectionate.

Adoption fee is $175.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.

Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
