Lucy's Story...
Little Lucy looks to be a Dachshund/Basset Hound cross. She is the cutest little thing. She weighs 6 pounds right now at about 12 weeks of age. We are giving her a birthdate of 9/7/11. Lucy is a very typical naughty puppy. She wrestles and plays non stop with one of the smaller dogs at her foster home. Preference will be given to a home with another dog for Lucy to play with

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Columbus Basset Hound/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Dachshund for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Basset Hound/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Dachshund breeders who help with Basset Hound/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
