Cricket NEED HELP's Story...
Cricket is a Jack Russell who was savagely attacked because she was whining. She was attacked with a four pronged hoe which went through her back and damaged a vertebra. She had a portion of the vertebral lamina removed. She was in intensive care for five days. Her prognosis is guarded but good. She is now able to eat and go to the bathroom on her own and is beginning to get movement in her hind quarters. We pray for a full recovery. The perpetrator will be prosecuted. Cricket now belongs to Nevada County Animal Control. Sammie's Friends is paying for Cricket's medical expenses which are $3100. If you can help with this large bill please donate to Sammie's Friends, 128 High Street, Grass Valley 95945.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cricket NEED HELP, a Grass Valley Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
