Elvie (Elf) is a cute little 4.10 lb. sweetheart. She is an adorable little “elf” of a Terrier Chihuahua mix rescued from the San Bernardino City Shelter on her last day. Elvie gets along with all of the other dogs in the foster home. She is a friendly, perky dog, who enjoys playing with the other dogs, playing with toys, going on walks, and then crashing out in your lap. She loves training time and learns very quickly. She is well socialized with humans and dogs, big and small, as long as the dogs are friendly and playful. Elvie is very much a full-sized dog in a tiny package and has no problem playing along with the bigger dogs. She is very smart and trainable but requires a structured environment that will treat her as a canine, not a toy. Elvie will go for hikes and long walks and loves to explore. She is very terrier in that she looks to her person for direction and is motivated to do what is asked. She bonds strongly with her people and gives lots of happy kisses and snuggles. She is not cat safe, since she will chase them and try to get them to play with her. Elvie is crate-trained, potty-trained and housebroken. She is spayed, de-wormed, fully vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped.
