Goffin's Cockatoo

Ozzie is a 5 year old Goffin’s cockatoo. She recently lost one of her owners and went through a severe period of mourning. This led to her having a few incidents of self mutilation. Currently, there is no wound nor are there any of the observed behaviors usually associated with self mutilation. However, potential adopters should have some experience with dealing severe behavioral issues in cockatoos as there are no guarantees the behavior will not resurface.

As for her personality, she is affectionate and funny. If she feels your hands are idle and could be put to better use she will come over and place her head under your hand. This is her way of telling you its time for a good head scratch. Also, she loves to dance and put on a show just for the attention she gets. Ozzie is full of love and full of spunk. This sweet little spit fire deserves a great forever home. Might it be yours?
