UPDATE 12/8: Serenity is a very active 2 y.o., she comes to men and women, but has only met teens so far. She loves treats, is potty pad trained uses the doggie door too. Serenity tries to play with the cats, is great with other dogs, toys and kids. She isn't house trained yet, but her foster family is working on potty pads and crate training. She's even learning some commands. and leach training is to come.
These schnauzers just arrived from a hoarder situation. Too many living in one place and the authorities asked the owners to lower their numbers. So they came to rescue. We will then be evaluating them and updating you. Plus we will have better pictures. If you are interested in adopting, please send in an on line application, note schn. As we evaluate them we will send you info of what we think will match your home style to choose from. It will speed up the processing steps and put you in line to choose. Thank you for wanting to adopt and save a rescued schnauzer.
Serenity weighs 6 lbs and is white in color and 1 years young. She is being fostered by Laura and family in Akron OH area. We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. We cannot hold more than 2 weeks from notifying you approved to complete the adoption. Most of our rescues lived with another pet and would like a playmate, however some are very independent and can be an only pet.
Serenity's adoption fee is $375 it includes a veterinary exam, annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. PLUS Neutered or Spayed and our prepaid registered MICROCHIP. SHE HAD A DENTAL CLEANING>.. IN ADDITION if our vet deems it necessary they will have had a DENTAL, possible extractions and pain and antibotic meds after surgeries. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party. In season our rescues have had flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, dog training booklet, Adopted Dog Training CD, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.
We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; small dogs cannot be tied out dogs.
Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens for outside and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along. But expect some accidents at lst until they know the routine.
Our dogs are fostered in private homes in OH and MI. We are not a shelter you will need an approved application and an appointment to meet our rescue dogs. Please click here for our on line application http://members.petfinder.com/~OH791/OH791_application_form.html
