Trixie's Story...

Meet Trixie a female 3 year old Beagle/Doberman mix (we think) and weighs only about 37 lbs.

Little Trixie has not had the best of luck in life being dumped at a high kill shelter when she was a puppy; getting adopted out and returned to the same shelter shortly thereafter. She was then adopted out again to a loving, kind family who now find themselves losing their home and being unable to take Trixie with them.

This pretty girl plays well with other dogs, is great with kids, very affectionate with people and is okay with cats but will chase them if they run from her. Trixie plays ball and walks very well on leash and has excellent house manners. Trixie really needs a doggie friend in her new household as she loves to play and would get lonely without a pal.

Trixie is a very sweet loving dog, loves to held and snuggled with, she does have an uncontrollable licker- so if you do not like puppy kisses, she is not for you!

Trixie is already spayed and up to date on all her immunizations.

If you would like to meet Trixie to see if you would like to make her a part of your family please complete an adoption application at so we can have Trixie’s foster mom Kelli contact you about meeting her.

There is a $40 adoption fee

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Boise Doberman Pinscher/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/Beagle for sale in Boise, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/Beagle dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/Beagle breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
