Sissy's Story...
This little girl is Sissy, a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix. Sissy has a short black coat with tan on her face and feet, and weighs 14 lbs. She’s a very quiet and calm girl for a small dog, content to follow you through the house and snuggle with you on the sofa. She is doing very well with the cats and other dogs in her foster home, but would also be fine as an only pet. Sissy’s housetraining has been perfect, she is crate trained, and she walks very nicely on a leash. Sissy would probably do best in a home without children under the age of 12. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on her shots -- all ready to go to a loving home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Scottsdale Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
