Vixen's Story...
Talk about being born on the wrong side of the tracks. My fate, as well as my brothers, Dasher and Comet and Mom were all but sealed. We were found living under a house where bad people hang out and crimes are committed all the time. A good Samaritan called Friends For Life and reported us to them. We never thought anyone would come to rescue us, but to our dismay and beautiful blonde angel and some good looking guy with tattoos showed up and took us away from this horrible place. We are so blessed this holiday season to be out of that situation. Now all we need is the best present ever…A home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vixen, a Houston Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd for sale in Houston, or seeking a Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
