My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie is a beautiful, loving Golden Retriever mix. She is only about 3 years old yet absolutely perfect in behavior and demeanor. Her photos really don't do her justice; she is beyond adorable in person, and you will get lost in her soulful eyes. Maddie is so easy to fall in love with and she loves people of all ages and other dogs too. "Of course I do!"
Although she loves people of all ages she will need to go to a home with no children or kids over the age of 12.

Maddie is also quite sure that she does not want to be left behind -- alone. She needs a forever family with a companion dog who will be her bud when her humans are not available. And she also needs a laid back pad -- a home without too much commotion -- that will help her be more comfortable.

Furniture? Oh, yeah, but not excessively. She shares a bed nicely, finding an out-of-the-way place. But she also sleeps happily on a doggy bed next to your bed.

Maddie is pure sugar so sweet and gentle. And her fur is so luxurious you will want to pet and pet and pet her some more. "Let's cuddle!"

Maddie says, "I really, really loved my original mom and dad, and they loved me, but they could not provide me a companion to be with when they were not at home. I am so lucky to be in a home now where I have lots of other dogs and a foster mom and dad who surround me with comfort and security. You know, I am a really, really good dog. I know my manners and I even know many tricks. I am not big on toys and chasing tennis balls but there are plenty of other fun things to do. I walk great on a leash. Walks? Oh, yeah. I absolutely LOVE open space leash walks. . . so many smells. I am adventuresome in just checking out nooks and crannies, but I keep track of my pack and come right away when you call me. Today we played find the leader and ran and ran through the trees, always coming back to my foster mom.

Got to say, though, snuggle time is the best."
