Robbie is a six-month-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie/Lab mix puppy. He was born with a naturally bobbed tail as most Aussie Shepherds are. Robbie was returned to the rescue because the mother of the home that he was adopted to developed asthma. He was rescued with his momma as a two-day-old newborn, born under a hedge with his four siblings. He was adopted at 8 weeks of age and now, four months later, he is back at the rescue needing another home.

Robbie is a fun loving and bright boy. He loves to play on the grass and chew on tree branches and sticks, or play with toys. He enjoys family TV time. Robbie loves taking naps on the sofa and loves his daily walks. Because he is still a puppy, he still loves to chew on things so just do not leave him unattended. However, he will listen to you if you say “No Robbie.”

Robbie is potty-trained, crate-trained and he sleeps in his crate. He likes his weekly warm baths but just does not like it when you try and brush his teeth. Robbie is good with kids too. Though Robbie may look larger in the photos, he is a medium-sized dog, weighing only about 35 lbs. Though he is submissive in a pack of dogs, it is clear that he is dog social.

Robbie is neutered, fully vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robbie, a Los Angeles Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
