Little baby Rocky, as you can see, is all about his groceries. He IS a growing boy, after all! Rocky was found abandoned in an industrial office park as a very tiny puppy. We think he was born around the first or second week of Jan. 2007. After being left to fend for himself in freezing temperatures, Rocky's life was saved by an animal lover, who brought the little guy to safety. Rocky was in need of nutritious food, a trip to the vet and lots of TLC. He quickly got all 3 and is now thriving, healthy and happy. Rocky seems to have put his humble beginnings far behind him and is ready to find a permanent family who will love him forever and take good care of him. Being a Labrador mix, Rocky will grow to be a fairly large dog (although not huge). He will need room to run and play and would do best as a member of an active family. When he is a little older, Rocky would make someone an excellent jogging buddy. Labs and Lab mixes are famous for their intelligence, so we would like to find an adopter for Rocky who will participate with him in basic obedience classes a few months down the road. After all, every puppy deserves the chance to learn the rules, so he can successfully transition into his new home (and from puppyhood to adulthood). Rocky is a very loving puppy and would be great with kids and/or with other dogs. As young as he is now, he could probably learn how to peacefully co-exist with cats, as well. Our $175 adoption fee helps offset the cost of 3 rounds of puppy boosters, vet exam, worming and neuter. To meet Rocky is to fall in love with him.
