Lil Piper's Story...
Lil Piper came to us when her owner fell on hard times. She's a female miniature schnauzer and only about 3 1/2 years old. She's quite the character. Her foster mom found out that her love in life is the dog toy basket. Doesn't matter if its tennis balls or squeaky toys, she loves them all. She's doing well on her house manners and is learning to adjust to the new change in her life. She's doing well with the dogs and cat in the household, but can have a bossy side. She loves snuggling on the couch and seems to get along with everyone. If you call on her, please keep in mind we do have two Pipers in our care, but the thought of changing Lil Piper’s name with all the changes she was going through; well, it just didn't seem right at the time, so if you are interested in Lil Piper, please specify so we don't get them confused.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil Piper, a Columbia Miniature Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
