My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The SFACC called us requesting that we take a dachshund that was not doing well in the shelter because he was so terrified. We quickly agreed and found we had a very sick little dog on our hands. Not only was Lolo exhausted (it can be very hard for a dog to sleep in the noisy shelter environment) but he also had an infection. Thankfully with some antibiotics, some rest and good food, Lolo was soon a frisky boy.

Lolo is a tiny guy - about 7 lbs. He is approx 2 years old. His pictures don't do him justice as he gets better looking every day. He has gained some much needed weight and his coat is starting to shine. In addition, his personality is starting to come out.

Lolo had been an owner surrender to the shelter and we were told this poor little boy had to spend his time outside, including sleeping outside. He received no socialization, leaving him afraid of new people and new situations. With a little time and patience, he becomes a love bug and will follow you everywhere. He is a real cuddler and loves being under the blankets with you.

Lolo really enjoys playing with other young playful dogs.(even sick he want to frolic with another young dachshund). He would do best in a home that had another small dog to help him with his confidence.

Lolo might be workable with cats, especially since most cats outweigh him.

Lolo is neutered, vaccinated and has had recent blood tests.

The tax deductible adoption fee for Lolo is $275
