Pumpkin's Story...
These two cuties are brother and sister duo. The calico one is Maggie, who is full of spit and vinegar. She is the trouble maker of the two and is always getting into things and wanting to be the centre of attention. Pumpkin is the sweet orange little guy, he is the quiet one who just follows Maggie around. He watches her climb things and if she makes it he is quick to follow her lead. We are hoping to find a home for these siblings together so they can spend the rest of their lives with each other.

If you would like to adopt Maggie & Pumpkin, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about our adoption process & fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
