Maverick's Info...

Maverick's Story...
This handsome boy was surrendered when his previous family moved, after having him for over 7 years. He is quiet and keeps to himself, and seems to enjoy watching the antics of the other cats. He can also be very curious and playful. He needs some time to warm up to people, but he is approachable and responds well to attention. Given a little time, he would probably be a very loving cat and make some lucky family very pleased to have adopted him..

To meet Maverick, please visit him at our cat adoptions room at Bowdog (6909 Farrell Rd SE), which is open from 2.00 - 4.00pm every Sunday, or call (403) 671-8665 for an appointment.
Please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to find out more about our adoption process and fees, or to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Okotoks Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
