Caitlyn's Story...
If bag pipes set your blood to thrumming and you consider tartan plaid the new black, Caitlyn may be the dog for you. She looks like a Scottish deer hound in miniature, plus she comes in Celtic red! This beautiful terrier mix is about 25#, the perfect size for a small home or apartment. Caitlyn has matured a lot since these photos were taken in January. I will take new ones as soon as I can. Her most striking feature is her aristocratic profile, which always looks as if she is facing into a breeze. She is leggy for a medium sized dog, giving the impression that she is taller than she really is. Her golden-red coat is smooth underneath and slightly darker red than her wirey topside. The two shades of red and two types of coat add to her stylish presentation. This is a dog that will always draw attention and she has a personality that can handle it. She is friendly without being needy, and even though she has not had much individual attention at the kennel she bonds easily with any volunteer who pays attention to her. She is a winner and should be snapped up quickly.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small all volunteer state licensed non-profit rescue in rural Georgia. Our county does NOT have animal control so the public and deputies are allowed to control strays by shooting them. It is pathetic that in 2012 we are allowed to shoot domestic companion animals as stray control. We are working hard to save what we can and are willing to transport our adoptable pets to the area to give them more exposure and a second chance for a forever home. We have many more available pets than what we have posted. Contact us if you are looking for something in particular or if you aren't looking for a particular breed but know size and age range we'll get back to you with what we have.

Our Adoption Process...
Minimum requirements:
1. At least 25 yrs. old
2. Steady employment (this will be checked)
3. Valid driver's license
4. Vet reference
We have an application and phone interview process. There is an adoption fee usually $200. All of our dogs are vet examined w/ fecal, heartworm test, spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, deworming, microchip and on flea & heartworm preventative.
Every pet transported is examined by a GA licensed vet and have a current health certificate.
