My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rascal’s adoption fee is $225.
Rascal is a healthy, loving and affectionate nine-year-old Chihuahua. He’s had recent dental surgery, is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is micro chipped. Rascal responds to cuddling and affection with serious playfulness and will lick exposed limbs, necks and faces if given the opportunity. Whenever I am on the computer he sleeps beside me in his basket and he also has developed attachments to my husband and teen-aged children. The cats.. not so much - they’re twice his size and are very curious, and Rascal gives them a fairly wide berth. He loves his walks unless it's very cold, rainy or he's just too comfortable snuggled under the covers of my bed.
Rascal seems to be very trainable too. He barks quite a bit when people come to the door, either entering or leaving, but only if I am home – possibly to protect me. We’ve been consistently working with him and allow him a bark or two but shush him after that. He is responding very well to this, but, like any training, it will always have to be reinforced, usually with treats. He tolerates car travel, sitting in someone's lap, rolled in a blanket but he doesn't really enjoy it and would rather be in my arms (too dangerous when I'm driving) or on the passenger seat floor.
There are a lot of other wonderful and cute things about this sweet little dog. He would probably be happiest with an older couple or individual with a fairly quiet household and who would love having this playful cuddle bug to keep them company.
