Long white whiskers sprout from his black button nose, complimenting his white throat and paws, and highlighting his soft ebony coat. Bruce’s sleek black beauty is far from skin deep, showing itself in his friendly, warm, and loving personality. A dedicated self-groomer, he’s proud of his shining appearance, but doesn’t mind his fur being mussed during cuddling and playtime. Found wandering the winter streets in search of food and shelter, he was scooped up by a compassionate woman, who, after having him neutered, has been housing him in her garage. But the time has come for him to move on. As an FIV positive cat, 7-year-old Bruce needs a home with no other cats, or one with other FIV positive cats, where he must remain indoors so as not to accidentally infect other cats. Despite his condition, Bruce still has a long life left to live and to love. And more than enough time to fill another home and other hearts with the warmth of his personality and the sound of his contented purring.
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
The first step in adoption is to...
Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!
All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
