for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Mars's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Mars's Story...
Mars is a handsome orange tabby boy who came in as a stray; he seems to be about 2 years old, and is very loving.

Mars should do fine as an indoor or indoor/outdoor kitty - he is much too eager for people to be an outdoor only kitty, though. He is pretty laid-back, and is just a delight to have around. We love his extra-long toes - no extra ones, but the ones he has would help him to be a terrific piano cat, in case you are hoping to have a viral YouTube video someday.

Mars will arrive neutered, wormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Adoption fee for Mars is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All adult pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to adjust to each other. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mars, a Republic Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
