My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for taking a moment to read Axles bio. Axle has a great personality and would fit any home environment. Axle is great with Cats, Dogs, Kids and loves People! Axle was rescued as he was being surrender by his former owner to Animal control because they could not keep him when one of the members from Another Chance Rescue saw him and was amazed at how sweet he was. Axle was confined to a crate most of the days/nights and was not giving the love he deserved. He is a wonderful dog and hoping to find his furever home soon. Axle will demonstrate to his furever family his loyalty and we are certain he will make a family very happy. Axle knows multiple commands (sit, stay, down, etc), he is house trained and crate trained. Axle weighs approximately 80 lbs and he is all muscle. He loves to go for walks and run on the treadmill. Axle will require exercise on a daily basis as he is young, healthy and active dog. Axle loves to run around in the yard and play with the ball and at times he will put up to three tennis balls in his mouth, too cute! He loves to play in the baby pool we put outside for him; he jumps in and out of the pool and amusing himself with the water. Axle loves to go for rides and go to social events because always gets lots of attention and makes friends where ever he goes. **Update 4/2/2011**: Axle has passed his AKC Canine good Citizenship test! We did not have any doubts because he is a very smart dog. We believe Canine Good Citizen training as the first step in training their dogs. As you work with your dog to teach the CGC skills, you'll discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog. Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with-they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life. AKCs Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program is one of the most rapidly growing programs in the American Kennel Club. There are many exciting applications of this wonderful, entry level that go beyond the testing and certifying of dogs. Please visit the American Kennel Club site for more details about the CGC: http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/ Axle has been vet checked; up to date on shots, de-wormed, neutered, as well as being up to date on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We would prefer Axle to be in a home with older kids only, since he is so big and could accidently knock down the small children. We promise if you take the time to meet him you will not regret it as you will want to take big teddy bear home! Adoption donation for Axle is $150, which goes back into the rescue to save more lives of those without voices. Please contact Laurie at 407-744-7369 or Michael (386) 804-7185 or email anotherchancerescuecfl@yahoo.com to arrange a time to meet me. Axle is very excited about meeting his new furever family.
