I am up to date with shots and good with dogs.
Comet is a sweet and somewhat shy pit bull terrier, about a year old, who was recently brought into the shelter as a stray. She came in with a friend, Cupid, who appears to be of the same parentage. Comet is hesitant with new people and situations but does warm up fairly quickly after the introductions. She is compliant in nature, appears to do well with other dogs and seems eager to please. She walks on lead but will require additional training, time and love to improve her skills and manners. Comet craves people attention and is very content to spend time next to you receiving some petting and love. Comet enjoys curling up next to the heater in the shelters office and is happy to put on her sweater before venturing outside for a walk. She does have some scars, possibly from litter mates and the like rough housing as puppies do, and a lovely golden/red coat. We encourage you to stop by the shelter today for an introduction to Comet. She is now available for adoption but will require a spay before going home.
