My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Star... She is a mover and a shaker, ready for action! This girl loves to play! She is one of those girls who unfortunately came from the wrong side of the tracks and didn't have the best previous life :( She was chained and used for breeding, but you would never know that with her super friendly personality. She still has a scar around her neck from the biting chain, but she says "Oh well, scars add character!" After her owner was 'done with her' he dumped her at kill shelter and never looked back. AWOL stepped in and saved this wonderful girl. If I had to use one word to describe this lovely blue fawn beauty, it would be exuberant! She LOVES to be with people, she LOVES to play, she LOVES toys... she is a steel spring coiled for action. A rippling power house of muscle! After some playtime outside, she will nestle in on a comfy couch or bed for some zzzz's to recharge her battery. She does great with other dogs, so a sibling with a similar energy level would make a great playmate! Since Star was on a chain most of her life, we are working on 'manners'. She just gets so excited to be loose and alive that sometimes she forgets to be calm. She needs someone that will continue her training with patience and LOTS of love!
