I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Luke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Luke's Story...
Luke is a tri-color Aussie mix who was born on 2/20/07. We expect him to ultimately be in the 40-45 lb range. He has had up-to-date shots and has been neutered. Because he is a puppy, he should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats.

Puppies obviously need a bit of attention, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or able to make frequent visits during the day. Adopters must agree to go to positive reinforcement classes to make sure that these youngsters can "be all that they can be." In addition to the adoption fee, ARRF will collect a $50 deposit that is refundable upon proof of class attendance within 6 months of adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Vista Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Vista, or seeking a Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
