Leita's Story...
Leita was attacked by other puppies in a pen. She lost her right ear and part of the other, which now stands up like a perky exclamation mark. It gives her a whimsical, ready-to-go look, which fits her personality perfectly. Lei Lei, as her foster mom calls her, doesn't hesitate to "rassle" with the big search and rescue dogs of the family, yet she can play with the dog-savvy family cat without crossing the boundary of fun. This happy, energetic pup is ready for a better start in life. Her never-give-up attitude and optimism would benefit people who have suffered physical injury or other trauma.

CARE Inc. is a small all volunteer GA state licensed non-profit companion animal rescue group serving the animals and people of Pike County Georgia. Presently, Pike county has NO animal control which keeps our small rescue full of pets waiting to be adopted by their forever family and others on a waiting list to come in as space is available. We usually have more pets than what is posted. If you know what you are looking for and don't see it contact us as several breeds go faster than we can post them.

An application and interview is required before adopting. (You must be a least 25 with a valid driver's license to submit an application.) Fees vary with each pet.
