LEONARD's Story...
Leonard is a handsome flashy fawn Boxer with a wiggle that just won't quit. He is all about having a good time and gets along great with both dogs and cats. He has been with us for awhile and is currently in a foster home where he is learning to trust people.
Leonard is a very sensitive kid and can overreact if he feels threatened. He really needs an experienced person who likes to keep things light and fun while maintaining a calm leadership.
Leonard's progress has been impressive and he just needs the right home to help him complete his transformation.

Please fill out an adoption application. After review, one of our volunteers will contact you to answer your questions and to set up a home check and a meeting with the dogs. Inquiries WITHOUT the application will NOT be answered. Here is the link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEONARD, a Alameda Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Alameda, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Alameda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alameda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alameda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alameda paves the way for another one to be saved.
