My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear Santa,

I am SO SO happy that I am not on the run in northern Maine any more. I have a warm place to sleep and kids and dogs to play with. The only thing that can make it better is to find a forever home of my own. Do you think there is a family who would like me? I am respectful of the cats in my foster home and I am slowing down on my eating now that I know they are going to feed me every day - and sometimes treats too - WOO HOO! I like to ride in the car with my doggy seat belt and I'm learning to walk on a leash without pulling too much. My foster mom says I am curious and love attention. She is very cool - I like to follow her around everywhere to make sure I don't have to go back and live outside again. I don't love to be alone so a canine buddy in my new home might work great. I do all my business outside and I am so happy now!

Thanks Santa!

Love,
Dexter

To apply to adopt Dexter, please visit our web site here to find out about our adoption process.

Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!
