Dear Santa,
You can't believe how happy I am that I am not on the run in northern Maine any more, just in time for it to get really cold here. I LOVE my foster family, and my foster mom says I am a sweetheart of a dog, can you believe that?! I love all humans and I LOVE children. I am happy to be patted and loved on any time. Since I haven't lived in a home for a while (maybe ever?) I am learning some house manners and I have to stay in the crate when the family is not home because I haven't figured out what is OK to chew on and what is not. I was REALLY skinny when I first got here so food is super important to me. My family has me eat in the crate because I try to swipe my furry foster brother's food if they just let us eat freely. I am not too interested in people food, which surprises people because they think I would try to eat anything in sight like a vacuum; they just tell me know and I am fine with that.
I LOVE to run and play ball, I will even fetch it and drop it on command. I really like to walk on leash with my family even though I barely have any experience with a leash. My foster mom calls me "graceful" and "agile" when I am running, I think she likes me, Santa! I totally love to snuggle on the couch with the kids at my foster home while they read or we watch TV - I like Christmas specials, don't you?
The only thing that would make my life better is if you help me find a forever home. Do you think my new family will have kids? Or will they play ball with me and take me for walks and rides?
I can't wait!
Thank you Santa!
Love, Maggie
Maggie is a lab/hound mix and is a petite girl! She is approximately 1 year old.
To apply to adopt Maggie, please visit our web site
here to find out about our adoption process.
Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
Thank you for considering rescue!
