Hey, I'm Barney, and I'm looking for my good buddy Andy so I can be his deputy side-kick again. Are you out there, Andy?? I remember all of our adventures in Mayberry, catching bad guys, patrolling the streets, keeping the bad guys in jail. Whoa, am I in some 60's dream?? Just pulling your tail, folks...it's just ole Barney here looking for a fun-loving home where I have a good place for naps (your lap will do very well!) and cuddling. I am a lover (I even have a heart shape on the side of my nose, take a look!) and I like everyone, though one of my foster sisters can be kind of pushy with me...I just stay out of her way and never fight back. I make it a point to get along with everyone. OK, back on the TV to watch the retro station..remember that dream that Pam Ewing had about Bobby? zzzzzzz Whoops, on second thought , maybe I should swith the channel to Animal Planet before I'm Barney Ewing living at Southfork! Waiting for you to put in an application with my name, that's spelled B-A-R-N-E-Y.... today!

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
