I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Simon's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Simon's Story...

Simon was turned into an animal control in Indiana when his owner died. The animal control had a very low adoption rate and poor Simon was terrified in his cage, so IAR rescued him.

Simon is about 3 years old. He does fine with dogs and doesn't care about cats. We weights about 190 pounds. He generally walks pretty well once he gets to know his handler.

IAR would prefer Simon go with an experienced Saint Bernard owner, as he can latch on to particular people and "protect" them.

Once he gets to know people he's a gentle giant--he loves squeaky toys and rolling over and getting his belly rubbed.

Simon's adoption fee is $400.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, heartworm tested if age appropriate; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption!

The dogs and cats are so very appreciative of your support. Together we can save these forsaken loving 'innocents' who are condemned to death.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Palatine St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Palatine, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
