Katie's Story...
Meet Katie (previously Katrina), the poor little mama that was pregnant and left at OCAS. She is very sweet and gentle. On her first day at the fosters house, she couldn't even walk on her own, but she's feeling better each day. She loves to give everyone lots of kisses. She acts like she's never seen a toy before in her life, but she's curious about them. I'm incredibly saddened that we couldn't save her babies, but I'm so glad she was saved. She's a wonderful dog!

Rescued on 12.7.11 from Orange County Animal Services. She is 2 years old, utd on shots, spayed and micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Orlando American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Orlando, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
