Abby's Story...
Abby is one of a litter of Great Pyrenees puppies born on October 1, 2011. This little family was surrendered to us when their owner was moving and unable to care for them any longer. We took them in, along with their mom and one of our wonderful foster homes has looked after them until they were weaned and ready for adoption. Now spayed / neutered, tattooed, dewormed and with their first round of vaccinations under their belt, these adorable little furkids are ready for their new homes – just in time for Christmas!

Abby is one of the smaller puppies in the bunch. She is a typical puppy, frisky and full of energy. She loves to explore everything and wrestle and play with other dogs. She would be well suited for just about any home!

If you would like to adopt, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about our adoption process and fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Okotoks Great Pyrenees puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Great Pyrenees puppy from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
