My story

Adult Male, Yellow Lab Mix
Spanky was brought into a city shelter when his owner died. Spanky was very over weight at 120 pounds and was suffering from thyroid problems. Thanks to the dedication of a loving foster mom, he has become a very healthy and happy 95 pounds.

Spanky is 5 years old, housebroken, non-destructive, loves to ride in the car, go on walks, sleeps by your bed and protects your home. He gets along well with children and other dogs.  He has the temperament of an angel, is smart and obedient. He needs a loving home that can provide him safety, exercise, a healthy diet and his thyroid meds. Spanky is neutered, up to date on all shots. He needs fenced yard as he will wander but is not an escape artist and a short fence is fine and he uses doggie door when needed. Spanky howls at sirens and he will cry when it is breakfast or dinner time. He eats 1 ½ cups of low fat dog food 2X a day. We are not sure how Spanky would do with cats.
