Bernie's Story...
Hi! My name is "Bernie" I am a 1 1/2 year old Bernese Mountain dog, who is as good as I am beautiful! My coat is smooth and silky. I am a special needs dog because I do not hear so well. My foster family thinks I hear a little bit because I react when the other pooches bark. I really love everything, people, and other dogs too. Guess what? I am an easy keeper that is housebroken and great with all your things in your home. I will cuddle up next to your feet in front of the fireplace and be a friend for life. I have been vetted. I am HW negative, and have an appointment for neutering. I am one magnificent boy with gorgeous blue eyes that will melt your heart. Please click on to this link to find out more on adopting this dog. <

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Staunton Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
