My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Hector and I am lucky to be alive today. I was dumped on the Tamiami Trail between a 6 lane highway and a canal. I had nowhere to go so I just hunkered down underneath the only bush that I could find and prayed that someone would come back to pick me up. I waited for a very long time and I was so hungry and thirsty. It rained a lot at night and during the day it was so hot. One day a nice man named Hector ( I'm named for him) , got a glimpse of me as he drove by my hiding spot. He brought me food and water. I was a little afraid at first , but he was so nice that I let him put a leash on me and carry me to his car. He brought me to the doctor's office where they took good care of me and gave me a warm bed to sleep in. I am healthy and neutered and ready for a home of my own. I am about 9 months old and I weigh about 26 lbs. I love other dogs and people. I have been in a kennel at the vet office for over a week and I am dreaming of having a home of my own by Christmas! Can you help me?
