I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi, I'm Rosie!...I'm a tiny fun-loving niña chiquita (little girl) chihuahua. I was born around Christmas 2009. I have the most amazing ears and a cute curly tail. I also have some adorable little freckles under my white fur. Before I forget, I'd like to mention the "thumb print" that I have on the very top of my pretty little round head. My foster mommy says that I'm smart, and I'm just as cute as a button too!
I love other dogs and playing and my favorite blanket and all things sparkly. I like to wear cute little doggy clothes that show off my style! What I enjoy the most is relaxing... snuggling under my blanket, sharing cuddles on the couch, giving you tiny kisses, and long walks in the park.
But I also have a fun side... I have a great time running around with my foster brothers and sisters and telling them what to do (check out the video of me and my foster brother Brody). Hey, someone's got to be in charge, right? We like to play with squeaky toys together. Because I don't like to share I probably shouldn't be in a home with small children.
OK I admit that sometimes I growl at the other dogs when I'm trying to rest on my favorite pillow with my favorite blanket and they get too close. But they always leave me alone when I do that so it makes me feel like a Diva. A girl needs her beauty rest!
I'm a healthy girl... I've had my vaccines, I'm heartworm negative, I've been spayed and microchipped. I'm house-trained and crate-trained (although I do fine during the day uncrated because I'm a good girl). I'm not sure about cats.... when I met one I couldn't stop barking at her long enough to decide if I liked her or not.
All I need now is my very own forever family! I'd be happy as an only dog... the apple of my family's eye who could spoil me rotten. Or I'd be fine with another little dog who is easy-going and doesn't mind when I ask them to leave me alone and who will let me be in charge. I'm not a bully, though, I promise.
If you could use a sweet and feisty little Rosie in your life please fill out an application for me today at http://www.animalalliesoftexas.org/adoption-application/ !
Love and Kisses!

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
Animal Allies of Texas serves all cities and towns within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (North Texas area). We restrict adoptions to these areas so that we can do home visits to ensure the best placement for all our animals.
