Tug's Story...
My name is Tug, but my friends call me "Gentle Giant." Before I came to this place, I lived with my person on the streets until he could no longer take care of me. So he brought me here hoping I could find a better home. I was pretty skinny when I first came here, but the food is good and plentiful and I am becoming more myself. They tell me I have something called "heartworm" but I am getting better and my care will continue, even if I go to my new home tomorrow. Do you have room in your heart for a giant?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tug, a Grants Pass Mastiff/St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/St. Bernard for sale in Grants Pass, or seeking a Mastiff/St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Grants Pass.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grants Pass already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grants Pass breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/St. Bernard breeders who help with Mastiff/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grants Pass paves the way for another one to be saved.
