Handsome White Boy Hey Look at My Surprise Black Tail!
Lotto is a fun, independent, and affectionate adult male cat. He is completely white except for a black tail, so he's very distinctive looking. Every person who sees him comments on how interesting and cute he looks! He has a great personality and is very independent, so he's perfect for a single person or for a couple who occasionally go away for the weekend.
Due to the fact that he is FeLV+, he can't be let outside or be in contact with other cats, but that is pretty much the only restriction. He is currently very healthy and does not have any symptoms. Please note the virus cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs, only other cats. Take a look at the Wikipedia page about FeLV+ which explains more about the condition. In the unlikely event that he gets sick, the Nine Lives Foundation has generously offered to provide for his care at no cost, so he won't be a financial burden at all.
Lotto (so named because he 'won the lottery') is a lot of fun. I've fostered him for a year and I really enjoy his company because he is friendly and always happy to see me. He easily makes friends with people and has become attached to me since I've had him. Once he gets to know you and trust you, he will really bond with you and will be happy to see you when you come home. He is independent and is very low maintenance, so he can take care of himself for a weekend, but he will miss you if you go away, and will be all the happier to see you return!
He likes to play and will chase string or a feather toy, but his favorite toy is a laser pointer! He gets very excited when he plays and will occasionally give little love bites if you pet him right after he's been attacking a piece of string. He will quickly return to being affectionate and will come over and nuzzle you to get you to pet him. He has a wonderfully strong purr that lets you know how much he loves it when you scratch his neck and head!
Come Visit Us! We are a volunteer run, tax exempt 501(c)3 organization. Because of this, we rely heavily on of the kindness and generosity of cat lovers near and far to help us do this work.
