My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is our dear Abbey, a sweet, lovable and playful young lady looking for a real forever home. Her first home didn’t work out so well. She was left at an abandoned trailer when her original family was evicted. It was obvious that they hadn’t had the means to care for her in a while. Abbey’s coat was heavily matted and she had not been given heartworm preventative as she has tested low positive for heartworms. She also had a large growth on her abdomen which we feared was a tumor, but it turns out it was a hernia. Her bladder was herniated through her abdomen wall! The vet said it had been like that for a while. She had a very successful surgery to repair the hernia when she was spayed. In spite of everything she has been through she is such and affectionate and happy girl. She is wonderfully obedient and is doing great with her crate training. She loves to take leash walks and enjoys our other dogs. Our cats are very fond of her and love to rub up against her soft coat. Abbey should do fine with children. She is playful and very gentle. Abbey is 3 years old and weighs 14 lbs. She is up to date on her rabies and other vaccines and is microchipped. To meet Abbey, please complete our adoption application form at www.cedarfarmrescue.com and followup with a phone call to (336) 251-8877 to be sure we have received the application. Feel free to ask any questions about Abbey at that time and hopefully we can set up a time for you to meet her!
